Alavés moved level with their opponents Valladolid in midtable after a 1-3 win in the Nuevo Zorrilla stadium. The locals dominated at the beginning, but Rubén Navarro gave Mané's side the lead with a well struck free kick in the twentieth minute. Either team could have scored after that, with Navarro hitting the bar for the visitors and Oscar and substitute Ciric both going close after the break, but Alavés went further ahead eight minutes from the end when the Catalan born striker got his second of the night from a Llorens cross. Ciric pulled one back after Fernando Sales laid the ball across from the left wing, but with the home side throwing everything forward, Iván Alonso scrambled a third goal to ensure the victory.
