Recreativo Huelva moved off the bottom of the table for the first time in four months after defeating a poor Valladolid 0-1. The home side are desperately in need of someone to score goals, and Moré decided to play ex Barcelona midfielder Ciric up front in the absence of better options. They were outplayed by their opponents though, and Raúl Molina gave the Andalucians victory midway through the first half after Viqueira put him through.

Colsa went close with a header later in the half and Olivera failed to find the target before the break, but they were unable to break down a well ordered defence. Moré brought on Aganzo at half time, but apart from one shot which tested Luque ten minutes from the end, he too was unable to make the difference. Molina and Xisco were a constant threat on the breakaway, although the bad news for Lucas Alcaraz (who was serving out a one match ban in the stands) was a broken toe for Xisco in the second half which could keep him out for a couple of months. Time to think about that later though, and Recre are now only three points away from salvation and five behind their opponents, who have only picked up five points from their last eight games.
