Osasuna beat their Basque neighbours Alavés 4-2 in a lively match on Saturday night. With nothing to play for, both managers made five changes to their respective sides, Aguirre giving a last home match to Unzué before his retirement and Aranguren trying out Rubén Navarro and Iván Alonso together up front. Referee López Nieto was also making his last appearance before hanging up his whistle, and he couldn't resist awarding his last penalty when Abelardo (who is also calling it a day this season) brought down Aloisi. The crowd called for Unzué to take it, but Aguirre signalled to Aloisi who duly obliged.

After that the fans were treated to a goal spectacle, with Rubén Navarro levelling the scores with a clever lob after Moha had missed a sitter. The young midfielder made up for it though by restoring the lead in the second half, and Aloisi got his second of the night a few minutes later. Navarro pulled one back, and Moha got a fourth for his side near the end to round off the evening. López Nieto was so overcome with emotion that he forgot to book anyone. It was one of those evenings.
