Valladolid and Real Murcia played out a dull 0-0 draw in a cold Nuevo Zorrilla stadium. As he had done when at Málaga, visiting manager Joaquín Peiró packed his midfield to smother the home side's creative play, and the only real chance in the first half for the locals came when Juanmi tipped a long Oscar González shot onto the bar.

Murcia only had one effort on target themselves in the first half, a Luis García free kick, and Makukula and Fernando Sales both went close soon after the restart for the home side. Otherwise though a game with little interest, leaving Valladolid without a win in four matches and Murcia down in next to bottom spot after five draws in a row.
