The Saturday game between bottom side Real Murcia and Celta ended in a draw, the locals coming from two goals down to square at 2-2 late on. The visitors dominated the opening minutes, and Luccin put them ahead with a screaming free kick from all of 35 yards. And after Milosevic added a second on the stroke of half time after Vagner put him through, the local fans booed their side off the field.

For a few minutes into the second half the situation didn't change, and Jesuli and Sergio could have extended the lead. But Luccin got himself sent off after receiving two yellow cards in the same action from Moreno Delgado, the first for protesting and the second for applauding the referee after the first card. Joaquín Peiró threw on Quintana, and the tiny midfielder dived to head home Juanma's cross only four minutes later.

After that Lotina tried to defend the lead, but with ten minutes to go Karanka headed the equaliser, and the manager got himself sent off for insulting the referee. Two minutes later though Jensen was also shown the red card for a hard tackle on Vagner, allowing Celta to regroup and save a point. The point may save the head of Peiró, although club president Jesús Samper suggested after the game that he would fire him this week if he could find the right replacement.
