Goals:
0-1. 24. Valdo. Poked ball in from close up after Webó crossed in from left.
1-1. 92. Nikolaidis. Header past keeper on far post from Ibagaza corner.

A last minute strike from Nikolaidis saved a point for Atlético Madrid in their home match against a direct rival for the fourth Champions' League spot, Osasuna. Valdo had put the visitors ahead midway through the first half after he got ahead of keeper Juanma to turn Webó's cross into the net from close up.

Gregorio Manzano was able to include Fernando Torres in his starting line up after the appeals committee put his one match ban on hold pending further investigation, but the move back-fired when the young striker had to leave the field injured on the half hour mark after crashing into Sanzol. And without their number nine, the locals were unable to find a way through a well disciplined defence.

Things seemed even worse when Aguilera was sent off a quarter of an hour from the end for a second bookable offence, the veteran wing back not helping matters by insulting the referee after he was shown the red card. But Nikolaidis threw himself at a last gasp Ibagaza corner to level the scores at 1-1 and keep his side above their opponents in the top four.
