Osasuna continued their slide down the table after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Mallorca, and they have now not won at home since the first week of December. The visitors went in front in the sixth minute when Delibasic intercepted a poor headed back pass by Cruchaga to volley the ball past Sanzol, but Aloisi equalised ten minutes later following a set piece Puñal free kick.

Both sides had their chances in the second half, the best falling to Colsa for the visitors and Rivero for the home side. But neither managed to find the target, and in the end they had to settle for a point each.

There was controversy after the match ended though, Mallorca protesting to the federation that Aloisi should not have played as he had cried off from Australia's international match the same weekend claiming an injury. FIFA had banned Australia's Viduka from playing for Leeds for the same reason, but it appears nothing was said about the ex Coventry City striker. The case will go to appeal.
