Osasuna are back in the UEFA cup spots after drawing 1-1 at Valladolid, the point enough to take them above Basque rivals Athletic Bilbao on goal average. The home side had the better of the opening minutes, and Losada put them ahead midway through the first half when he bundled the ball into the net after Sanzol could only palm away a cross from Fernando Sales.

After that though the game degenerated, and the only efforts at goal for the next fifty minutes or so were a couple of long range shots from Figueredo and Fernando Sales, and one from Rivero at the other end. Javier Aguirre brought on Morales though for a rare appearance, and the Uruguayan forward took his chance with the equalising goal a quarter of an hour from the end, running past Caminero to pick up a long ball and beat Bizzarri. The draw means that Osasuna have now gone six games without defeat.
