The local derby between Osasuna and Athletic Bilbao ended in a 1-1 draw, even though the Pamplona based side had to play almost all the second half with ten men after Josetxo was sent off rather harshly for a foul from behind on Ezquerro. The visitors had dominated the opening minutes, with Etxeberría putting them ahead after Tiko set him up, and seeing another effort turned away for a corner by Sanzol. Osasuna felt they should have had a penalty though when Milosevic was brought down by Yeste, but he made up for it a few minutes later heading home the equalising goal from a cross by new signing Corrales.
