The revelation side of the league so far has surely been Levante, and they moved up to fifth in the table after a 1-3 win at Numancia. Both sides were newly promoted, but the home team had more need of the points and Pineda and Sestelo went close early on. But Manchev put Bernd Schuster's side ahead with his fifth goal of the season on the half hour mark, and after that they didn't look back. A pinpoint pass by Rivera half an hour later sent Ettien away down the right wing, and his low cross was turned in by Sergio García on the far post. And Nacho made it three soon afterwards, leaving Velasco for dead before firing an unstoppable shot past Nuñez.

It could have been more, the keeper saving well from a Rivera free kick and the referee turning down an appeal for a penalty on Sergio García, but the locals didn't give up and got their consolation when Jaime Molina headed Moreno's free kick down past Mora. But it was too late for any more, and the Soria based side found themselves at the bottom of the table by the end of the day.
