0-2. 71. Lopo. Steered David García's wayward shot into roof of net.

Espanyol took advantage of poor results of the teams around them to move back up to fourth in the table after beating Levante 0-2.The home side were on a high after their good start to the season, but they were soon pegged back, Tamudo having a penalty appeal turned down and Alex Fernández hitting the bar from a free kick.

The only reply from Bernd Schuster's side was a shot from a wide angle which Kameni pushed away, and the visitors took the lead soon after the restart when Tamudo ran through and set up Oscar Serrano for him to score his first goal of the season with a shot in off the post.

Tamudo went close again before Lopo got a second for the Catalans, deflecting a wayward shot from David García into the roof of the net. And when Kameni saved Congo's late over it was all over, Levante were brought back down to Earth after their first home defeat of the season.
