The two reserve keepers came out on top in a 0-0 draw between Albacete and Betis on Saturday evening. Both sides were missing their first choice number ones, with Gaspercic stepping in for Valbuena after he broke his wrist last weekend, and Doblas playing his third game in the league due to injuries to Prats and Contreras. And it was the visiting keeper who saw most of the action in the first half, making a point blank save from Rubén Castro early on and keeping out the young striker close to half time.

Betis had not troubled Gaspercic in the first half, but he had to save from Capi and Fernando after the restart. But once again it was Doblas who had most work, in particular with a one handed save from Pacheco, who earlier in the half had crashed a free kick against the bar. In the end though both sides had to settle for a point which leaves the locals just above the relegation spots and the visitors in mid-table.
