Racing Santander and Osasuna shared the points in a 1-1 draw, leaving both clubs where they were in mid-table. The Cantabrians got off to the better start, with Regueiro almost finding the net with a chip over the head of keeper Elía. But it was the visitors who opened the scoring a few minutes later, Chengue Morales taking advantage of a rare start in the absence of injured colleagues to get on the end of Valdo's cross and head past Aouate.

From then on though almost all of the play was in the Pamplona based side's half, Javi Guerrero shooting over the top and Anderson Silva rattling the bar from 30 metres out. Only Elía stood between the Racing attackers and the goal, the keeper making three saves in succession from Pedro López just after the restart. But he could do nothing a couple of minutes later when Morán hit a low, hard cross from the left wing, and Josetxo deflected the ball into his own net under pressure from Javi Guerrero.
