Albacete moved clear off the relegation spots to the detriment of Málaga after beating their rivals 0-2 in the Rosaleda stadium. It was a poor performance from Gregorio Manzano's side who have now gone seven games without a win, and the home fans called for the head of the club president Serafín Roldán at the end.

Both goals came from mistakes by young defender Alexis, the first after he gave the ball away early on to Momo for him to produce the cross from which Viaud eventually scored. Local keeper Calatayud had to be at his best to keep out an effort from Mikel later in the half, but could do nothing two minutes after the restart when Momo dispossessed Alexis and ran on to shoot low into the net.

The action didn't stop there though, and Calatayud was in action a couple more times before Málaga finally managed an effort at goal, Gaspercic not having too many problems to save from Wanchope. It was a third home defeat in a row from a side who have not scored now in four games, and Manzano said he wants to sign new players when the winter transfer window opens. At this rate however he won't be there to see it.
