2-1. 37. Milito. Got on the end of high Movilla pass to head past Juanma.

Numancia moved off the bottom of the table thanks to a 2-1 win over Zaragoza, another good result for caretaker manager Máximo Hernández. A capacity 10,000 crows turned up to see their side win at home for the second game in a row, leaving their opponents still to win away in the league this season.

Osorio was the hero of the night with two headed goals in the first half somewhat against the run of play, following crosses from the left wing from Antonio and Juan Carlos Moreno respectively. Milito headed one back before half time though from a long ball in by Movilla.

Víctor Muñoz brought on Villa at the break to strengthen the attack, but they were unable to break down a well ordered defence. It could have been different though if referee Pérez Lasa had not turned down two penalty appeals for the visitors, the first when Graff brought down Galletti and then when Jaime Molina blocked Villa's header with his arm. But Tevenet should have increased the lead when he tripped himself up with only the keeper to beat late on.
