Osasuna moved back up to eighth in the table after a first ever win over Mallorca in the San Moix stadium. New signing Yoshito Okubo was in the stands to watch his new side go two goals down in the first half, Valdo scoring the first with a spectacular left foot volley and getting a second soon afterwards, this time with his right after Muñoz headed the ball on.

Cúper was clearly unhappy with his side, and made three substitutions early in the second half. Expósito cleared an effort from Arango off the line with the keeper beaten, and when Jesús Perera pulled a goal back ten minutes from the end, all thoughts were on a repeat of their epic comeback against Numanica in their last home match.

But Elia produced a vital save from Perera in the last minute to scupper their chances, and once again they drop further away from safelty, ending the weekend in next to bottom spot.
