A scoreless draw between Albacete and Racing Santander left both sides just a couple of points outside of the bottom three. It was a dull match, with few scoring chances throughout, although the visitors will be happier with the result than their opponents as they played the last twenty minutes with ten men after Pedro López was sent off for a second bookable offence. The Cantabrians were the better side in the first half, with Regueiro, Javi Guerrero and Benayoun all going close. But they defended well after López was sent off, and even though José González threw on all his fire power, they were unable to beat a confident Aouate in the end.
