Osasuna and Deportivo cancelled each other out in a 1-1 draw, and both lose ground on the European spots. The first half ended without goals, although they were several chances for both sides, Webó having a shot saved by Munúa (standing in for the injured Molina) and Morales heading against the post in the first ten minutes, and the visitors replying with a Pablo Amo header which Elia turned away for a corner, and a Luque free kick which went just wide. Webó, Puñal and Manuel Pablo all tried their luck as well before the half time whistle.

The locals got off to the better start after the interval though, and they went ahead somewhat fortunately when Pablo Amo chested the ball in to his own net trying to clear Webó's cross. Irureta responded by throwing on Munitis and then Víctor, and with virtually his first touch the winger sent across a free kick which Josetxo and Valerón both went for, the ball falling kindly for Sergio to fire home the equaliser. There was still time for local substitute Iván Rosado to miss a sitter in the last minute, but moments later referee Carmona Méndez called it a day.
