Bottom club Numancia were beaten 1-0 by Getafe and ended the weekend eight points away from safety. The locals were the better side, but they only managed to beat Juanma once, the goal coming in the first half from a player who was on the visitors' books last season, Kome. Curiously the Camerooni international was not even on the squad list due to an error by Quique Flores, and was at home having lunch with his wife when the coach realized his mistake and was forced to make a red-faced telephone call. However it was twenty cents well spent when Vivar Dorado and Craioveanu combined to set him up with just under half an hour gone.

Getafe had gone close a couple of times before the goal, Cotelo shooting over the bar and Craioveanu testing Juanma with a free kick. But in the second half the Soria based side came close to equalising, Rafa Jordá shooting wide and then bringing a good save out of Sánchez Broto with a header. Velasco cleared off the line at the other end soon afterwards with the keeper beaten, and the locals also had a penalty appeal turned down before the final whistle. It was vital win though for the Madrid based side, who move up the table to thirteenth, five points now above the drop zone.
