Getafe beat Levante 1-0 to move up to thirteenth and virtually ensure another season in the top flight. The only goal of the game came twenty minutes in to the first half when Yordi headed a long ball from Pulido into the path of Michel for him to fire a low shot across Mora. Sergio García hit the post for the visitors a few minutes later, and Jofre had another effort blocked by the defence a few minutes later. But Gallardo could have extended the lead when he shot wide after Yordi and Gabi combined to set him up.

Bernd Schuster's side could have levelled the scores when Sergio García just failed to get on the end of a free kick after the break, but otherwise the locals were on top, and Sánchez Broto didn't have too much work to do. Vivar Dorado should have scored a second for the Madrid based side late on after Craioveanu put him through, but he was unable to find the target. But the three points were in the bag, taking the home side fourteen points clear of the drop zone and leaving the visitors just one place now off the bottom three.
