Numancia were already relegated after last weekend's results, but they still put up a good fight, coming from two goals down to draw 2-2 with Osasuna. The visitors were on a roll after reaching the cup final last Thursday for the first time ever, and they went two goals up within a quarter of an hour, Ortíz getting on the end of Moha's long cross to fire a shot past debutant keeper Diego De Miguel and Aloisi poking the ball past the young keeper from Moha's pass just a couple of minutes later. Miguel Pérez got one back almost immediately, but Iván Rosado and Ortíz could both have increased the lead later in the first half.

The visitors were left with ten men though after Izquierdo was sent off for insulting the referee shortly before half time, and the locals pushed forward after the restart. Carlos Merino should have equalised after the Soria based side were awarded a penalty when Cuéllar fouled Palacios, but he fired his spot kick against the post. But soon afterwards substitute Miguel López got on the end of Merino's cross to head past Sanzol and save a point for his side.
