Real Sociedad and Málaga had little to play for other than pride when they met on Sunday, but they put in an entertaining display (at least for the visiting fans) as the Andalusians ran out 1-3 winners to draw level with their opponents in the table.

The first half though belonged to Málaga (Riesgo permitting), with Baiano and Duda testing the young keeper before Edgar picked up a pass from Michel to score. And early in the second half Baiano made it two after Duda and Edgar combined to leave him free on the edge of the area.

Amorrortu threw on reinforcements, but Baiano got his second of the night a few minutes later after Duda left him with the easiest of tap-ins. And Real didn't react until eight minutes from the end, when youngster Agirretxe got a late consolation goal for the Basque side on his home debut. Both teams ended the day level on 45 points, already safe and planning for the next campaign.
