Albacete were unable to win their last home game in the first division, throwing away a two goal lead to draw 2-2 with Real Sociedad. Martín Monteagudo's side took the lead early on when Pacheco's long free kick took a freak bounce past Riesgo, and the Uruguayan forward added a second later in the first half after picking up a return pass from Francisco.

However Amorrortu made two attacking changes at half time, and the Basques pulled one back when De Paula headed into the top of the net after Labaka nodded on a corner. And with the game already in injury time Uranga turned the ball wide of Gaspercic to save a point for his side.

Gaspar got himself sent off for insulting an official, but the locals could still have won it in the closing seconds when Pacheco hit the bar and youngster Gato had a goal disallowed for offside. It made little difference though, and the Carlos Belmonte stadium will be hosting second division games next season.
