Mallorca are back down in the relegation zone again after a 1-4 hammering by Málaga. After a big win against Real Sociedad and a draw at Getafe in the last few days, Héctor Cúper's side started confidently, Okubo finding Arango for him to head just wide in the opening minutes. But Chengue Morales tested Prats with a header a few minutes later, and with just under a half an hour on the clock Salva put the visitors ahead after Edgar set him up from the left wing.

Just two minutes later Prats misread a long free kick from Duda, and the ball bounced in to the net off the far post. Mallorca tried to come back, and Arnau did well to tip over a header from Okubo. But another double strike from the visitors after the restart wrapped things up, Duda getting his second of the night with another free kick and Edgar adding a fourth with a shot which appeared to take a deflection off a defender before clearing the head of the keeper. Choutos came on to head a late consolation goal, but many fans had gone home by then.
