Last week's leaders Celta drop to second place behind Getafe after drawing 1-1 at Cádiz. The Galicians fell behind early on when Fleurquín steered a header past Pinto from Sesma's corner, but a quickly taken free kick a few minutes later sent Jorge away for him to set up Baiano for the equaliser. Paz had a chance to restore the lead soon afterwards when he headed just wide, but after that the visitors dominated and Baiano fired a shot against the crossbar shortly before half time.

The pace slowed after the restart, and there were no further chances until Baiano tested Armando midway through the half. But Medina, making his first start for his new side, could have won it for the locals when he created a chance out of nothing and fired a shot against the bar from a wide angle. That was it though, and both sides had to settle for a point which left the locals still without a first home win.
