Mallorca moved further away from the drop zone after coming from behind to beat Cádiz 1-2. The home side opened the scoring in the ninth minute when Enrique picked up De Quintana's long pass to beat Prats. But the visitors came back quickly, Arango testing Armando and Pereyra shooting over the top before Víctor got on the end of Doni's cross to hook the ball past the keeper.

Héctor Cúper's side were left with ten men though when Pereyra was sent off for a second bookable offence shortly before the interval, but the hosts were unable to take advantage, Oli heading Enrique's free kick wide immediately after the restart and substitute Estoyanoff also missing a couple of opportunities. And with six minutes to go they paid the price when Arango bent a long free kick into the back of the net. The win takes the Balearic Islanders up to fourteenth, just a point now behind their opponents.
