2-2. 68. Aduriz. Connected with Dañobeitia cross to shoot wide of Riesgo.
3-2. 69. Skoubo. Controlled Nihat pass on chest and shot past keeper on turn.

The best game of an entertaining weekend was saved to last, Real Sociedad and Athletic Bilbao cancelling each other out in a thrilling derby which ended 3-3. Nihat celebrated his decision to stay at Anoeta with a brilliant display in the first half, heading wide and bringing a good save out of Lafuente in the first minute or so, and opening the scoring in the seventh minute after new signing Skoubo set him up. Gurpegui went close twice soon afterwards at the other end, but Nihat made it two before the break, again thanks to a clever assist from Skoubo.

After the break though it was the turn of Athletic's new signing Aduriz to show what he could do, the ex Valladolid striker heading Orbaiz's cross past Riesgo to pull one back and then testing Riesgo again before levelling the scores after Dañobeitia set him up. Skoubo restored the lead a minute after the equaliser after Nihat returned the favour for the first two goals, but with the game already in injury time Iraola saved a point for Javier Clemente's side with a lob past the young keeper after Aduriz had headed on a Dañobeitia cross.
