Deportivo came away from the Reyno de Navarra stadium with the three points in the last match of the weekend, a result which takes them to within six points of their opponents Osasuna. The Pamplona based side had not won in their stadium since it changed it's name at the beginning of the year, and they were lucky not to go behind early on when Rubén Castro and Víctor went close. But Milosevic brought a good save out of Molina, and shortly before half time a quickly taken Delporte free kick allowed David López to set up Romeo to score. And the Argentine striker was unlucky not get a second goal when his dipping volley beat Molina three minutes later only to be ruled out by referee Ramírez Domínguez for what he considered to be a foul.

Five minutes after the restart though Depor were level, Sergio taking advantage of a loose ball to beat Ricardo after Víctor's cross was blocked. Half time substitute Diego Tristán fired a shot just wide soon afterwards, but at the next attempt he didn't fail, picking up a pass from Duscher and rounding Cuéllar and Ricardo before squeezing the ball in to the net from the tightest of angles. Webó had a couple of chances to salvage a point near the end, the first a shot blocked by Juanma and the second an overhead kick saved by Molina. But once again Javier Aguirre's side had dropped points at home, and the gap between them and the chasing pack for the fourth Champions League spot has narrowed to four points.
