Racing Santander and Mallorca both edged away from the drop zone after sharing the points in a dull 0-0 draw. The first chance of the match fell to the visitors, Tuni firing a spectacular volley wide of the post, but Melo forced a good save out of Prats from a corner soon afterwards. Ballesteros put another effort over the bar from close up, and Prats kept out another shot from Jonathan before the break.

There was even less activity after the restart, the only excitement for the crowd a shot from Pinilla across goal, and the fans ended up whistling the home players after dropping points at home again. The Cantabrians have only won twice this season at the Sardinero stadium, and the visitors will be the happier of the two after extending Gregorio Manzano's unbeaten run in charge to three games.
