Mallorca moved further away from the danger zone after beating Cádiz 1-0, their sixth match in a row without defeat under new coach Gregorio Manzano. The only goal of the game came with a quarter of an hour on the clock, Víctor heading a long Basinas free kick down past Límia. Arango hit the post after the restart, and a well ordered defence kept out the visitors after that. The result leaves the Andalusians down in nineteenth spot, having only won once in the last nine games.
