Goals:
1-0. 74. Yeste. Picked up pass in from Llorente and shot low inside near post.

A late goal from Yeste gave Athletic Bilbao a much needed 1-0 win over Zaragoza which takes them to the verge of safety. The Basque side were up against it early on, with an active Diego Milito hitting he post and bringing a good save out of Lafuente. The locals had a penalty appeal turned down after Ponzio blocked Urzaiz's shot with his arm, but Diego Milito hit the post again just a few minutes after the restart.

Clemente brought on Etxeberría early in the second half, and the ex Spanish international headed a good chance over the bar and then had another penalty appeal turned down after he fell under Gabi Milito's challenge. Ewerthon brought a good save out of Lafuente at the other end, but with a quarter of an hour to go a great run by Llorente down the left by line set up Yeste for the winner. There were tears in his eyes as he gave his provider a big kiss - it meant that much to a club who have never been out of the league since it first started.
