A festival atmosphere at the San Moix stadium for the last match of the season, Mallorca celebrating their survival with a 3-1 win over Zaragoza. The home side took the lead with just over a quarter of an hour gone when Arango picked up a long cross and steered the ball away from César and his defence before hooking it back in to the net. Pisculichi could have added a second when he hit the bar with a free kick, but Ewerthon tested Moyà at the other end and Savio levelled the scores with a shot which took a deflection off the back of a defender.

Manzano's side went back in front though midway through the second half, Farinós at first hitting the post before collecting the rebound and shooting in from a wide angle. And Yordi got in on the act in the final minutes, heading in from close range after Arango chipped the ball across from the left wing. The match ended with a firework display to round off another hard season for the Balearic Islanders, but for the tenth season in a row they will stay in the top flight.
