Villarreal's ex midfielder Cazorla got the only goal for Recreativo Huelva against his old club as the Andalusians ran out 0-1 winners. And another of Pellegrini's rejects, López Vallejo, also produced a great performance, in particular keeping out efforts from Riquelme and Diego Forlán in the opening minutes. Forlán had a goal disallowed for offside, but otherwise the home side were a shadow of their former selves, and the visitors grew in confidence as the game wore on. Rosu failed to take advantage of one chance but Cazorla didn't miss, although out of respect for his old fans he didn't celebrate the goal and put his hands together asking for pardon. The supporters let him off, but they didn't treat Pellegrini so kindly at the end of the game after another disappointing result.
