Barcelona top the table pending Sunday's games after strolling to a 3-0 victory over Osasuna. Frank Rijkaard's side only took 90 seconds to open the scoring, Eto'o poking the ball past Ricardo after Deco and Ronaldinho finished off a team move. And midway through the first half Eto'o got his second of the night, lifting the ball past the keeper after Corrales had only succeeded in heading a long ball in to his path.

Before half time Messi had made it three after Eto'o charged down Ricardo's clearance and then got a lucky bounce, the Cameroonian striker squaring the ball across for the youngster to "pass" the ball through the legs of Ricardo and in to the net. And Eto'o could have completed his hat-trick had Ricardo and then Josetxo not got themselves in the way of a couple of shots.

However with a Champions League game in three days time, Barça took their foot off the accelerator and started to play keep-ball. Even so they could have added to their total, Zambrotta firing a shot just over the bar, Ricardo pushing a shot from Messi on to the post and substitute Giuly also going close a couple of times. Osasuna only managed a couple of efforts near the end through David López and Valdo. Hopefully they will put in a better performance on Thursday in the UEFA cup.
