Osasuna's revival continues, and they beat fellow UEFA Cup participants Celta 0-2 to move safely up to mid-table. Despite making seven changes to his line up, Ziganda's side controlled the opening minutes, and they took the lead when Valdo crashed home a fierce shot after the defence failed to clear a free kick.

Only Gustavo López was causing any problems for the visiting defence, and Fernando Vázquez decided to bring on Jesús Perera early in the second half. That made some difference, but fifteen minutes later the Galicians were left with ten men when Angel was sent off for a foul on Raúll García.

Curiously Celta had their best moments after that, Contreras and Perera bringing top class saves out of Ricardo and Nuñez shooting just wide. But with the game in injury time and the home side throwing everything forward, Juanfran wrapped things up with a second goal after Webó had sent him away on a rapid counter-attack.
