Recreativo moved up to seventh in the table after an exciting 2-3 win at Real Sociedad. Cazorla was a constant nighmare for the local defence, and could have scored early on when Riesgo turned his shot away for a corner. And seven minutes before the break the ex Villarreal winger cut past Labaka and Juanito to set up Calle for the opening goal.

Before most spectators had taken their seats for the second half, Recre were two up, Cazorla and Rosu combining to gift Calle his second of the night. But the Basque side fought back, with Uranga beating López Vallejo with a near post header from Garrido's free kick.

With a quarter of an hour to go referee Alvarez Izquierdo gave the home side a helping hand, awarding them a penalty after ruling that Uranga had been pushed in the area by Arzo. Novo converted the kick, but soon afterwards the boot was on the other foot when Alvarez disallowed a goal by Kovacevic, deciding that the ball had gone out before López Rekarte crossed in to the striker.

Bakero urged his players forward looking for the winner, but Real were leaving big gaps at the back. Riesgo had to keep out Rosu on one quick breakaway, but with the game in injury time they were caught out when Sinama-Pongolle collected a pass from Rosu to fire home the winner. The defeat leaves Real down in the relegation zone, and it looks like being another long, hard season in the Anoeta stadium.
