2-2. 93. Zigic. Got above defence to head corner down past keeper on near post.

A last minute header by Zigic earned a first point for bottom club Racing Santander in a 2-2 draw at Gimnàstic Tarragona. The Catalans had the better of the opening play, with Ismael testing Calatayud twice. A challenge by the forward left the keeper groggy, and two minutes later a long shot by Cuéllar crept out of his hands and in to the net, Nàstic's 1,000th goal in the Nou Estadi in official competitions.

Racing's only efforts in the first half were a shot just wide of the post by Felipe Melo and a weak effort at the keeper by Zigic, but just two minutes after the restart Zigic ran on to a short pass from Munitis to equalise, the Cantabrians first goal of the season. Luis César turned to Portillo, who had been nursing a knee injury, and within seven minutes he restored the lead with a far post header from Cuéllar's cross.

The locals should have finished things off after that, with Campano, Portillo and Juan all trying their luck. But with the game already in injury time Zigic hauled his two metre frame above his markers to head a Munitis corner down past Bizzarri. Racing were off the mark, and Nàstic were ruing a lost opportunity against a direct rival in their fight for survival.
