Villarreal and Levante drew 1-1 in their local derby, a result which left both sides currently floating in mid-table. The visitors had the better of the first half, with Kapo in particular going close a couple of times. And the hosts only reply was an effort by José Marí over the bar close to half time.

Three minutes after the restart Levante took the lead, Camacho turning the ball back past Viera after the keeper could only push out a Kapo free kick. A few minutes later Pellegrini brought on youth international Jonathan Pereira for his first team debut, and the young striker picked up a return pass from his B team colleague Marcos García to score within a minute of coming on.

Riquelme (playing his 100th game for his side) headed against the bar soon afterwards, and Nino replied with a shot against the post in the dying minutes, but in the end both teams had to settle for a point.
