Levante and Espanyol drew 0-0 on Sunday evening, a result which leaves both sides down in the bottom half of the table. A Bruce Springsteen concert had left the pitch in a poor state, and most fans must have wished they could have attended that function rather than this match, in which chances were few and far between. Jonatás should have done better when he was sent away by Tamudo midway through the first half, rushing his shot and missing the target, and Nino had a shot deflected into the side netting before the interval. The best efforts came in the second half however, Alexis heading a Riera cross away from under the bar and Berson and Meyong Zé going close at the other end. Espanyol were lucky in the end though not to have a penalty awarded against them when the ball hit Jarque's arm inside the area.
