Osasuna finally got their first goal in just under ten hours of football, although it only served to gain them a point in a 1-1 draw with Basque neighbours Athletic Bilbao, who were playing for the first time in their all white kit (apparently the original club colours). Gabilondo headed the visitors into the lead from Etxeberría's cross with just under half an hour on the clock, and Sarriegui could have added a second had Ricardo not kept out his free kick a few minutes later.

Ziganda decided to bring on Soldado for Webó at the break, and within eight minutes the ex Real Madrid striker equalised, latching on to a half clearance by Sarriegui to poke the ball past Lafuente for his first official goal since joining the club in the summer. Athletic almost restored the lead when Corrales cleared an effort from Gabilondo off the line a few minutes later, but after that the home side came closer to scoring, Lafuente saving from a David López shot and a back header by Urzaiz towards his own goal.
