Barcelona return to the top of the table after a 3-1 victory over Zaragoza. The visitors started the weekend just a point behind their opponents in third place, and although their hosts had a couple of chances early on, the visitors took a surprise lead when Gabi Milito turned in D'Alessandro's corner with just over a quarter of an hour gone. Barça lost two players to injury midway through the first half, Messi with a broken toe and Edmilson with a sprained ankle, but even so Ronaldinho headed home a Deco corner to level the scores before the break.

There was some fun and games after the restart when Motta was sent off at the instances of infamous linesman Rafa Guerrero for fending off Diego Milito with his hand, the incident resulting in a bust up between the players and red cards for assistant coach Johan Neeskens and local delegate Carlos Naval. And a couple of minutes later Gabi Milito followed Motta down the tunnel after pulling back substitute Saviola as he advanced on goal.

Lafita brought a good save out of Víctor Valdés a few minutes later, but Ronaldinho appeared again to curl a free kick past César and in off the far post five minutes from the end. And Saviola finished things off in injury time, heading in to an empty net after another Ronaldinho free kick came back off the crossbar.
