After beating Real Madrid in the Bernabeu last week, Celta were not expecting any problems with the visit of Recreativo Huelva. But the Andalusians ran out 1-2 winners thanks to goals by Sinama-Pongolle and Uche at the start of the second half.

The first 45 minutes almost passed without incident, only a couple of long shots and dead ball kick from the home side causing any work for the returning López Vallejo. But just three minutes after the restart the visitors went ahead when Sinama-Pongolle headed Viqueira's free kick past Pinto.

The local keeper did well after that to stop Uche on a rapid breakaway, then save another effort from Sinama at point blank range. But soon afterwards Aitor put Uche through from the halfway line, and the Nigerian forward ran on unchallenged to make it two.

Guayre had come on to replace the injured Antonio Nuñez early on, and he pulled one back with eight minutes to go after Jesús Perera put him through. But he injured himself again in the process, and when Tamas also had to leave the field after picking up a second yellow card it was all over. It was fifth home defeat of the season for the Galicians, and their opponents moved three points ahead of them in the table.
