Real Sociedad remain firmly anchored at the foot of the table after drawing 0-0 with Betis. The Basque side have yet to win a game in the league this season, and their only chances came through Díaz de Cerio, the young striker heading wide midway through the first half and then bringing a reaction save out of Contreras with a back-heel from Garitano's pass shortly before the interval.

Bravo too had little work in the local goal, although the Andalusians could have won it in the second half when Edu headed a good opportunity wide and then Melli hit the post following a short free kick. A point each in the end, which was enough at least to keep the Andalusians out of the bottom three.
