Zaragoza consolidate fourth place with a 3-0 win over Gimnàstic. The goals didn't come though until the second half, and before that the visitors had had the better chances, Pinilla bringing a good save out of César from point blank range, and Generelo shooting just wide a few minutes later.

However four minutes after the restart Aimar picked up the ball in midfield and ran on to fire a vicious shot past Rubén Pérez, and Oscar González soon made it two after connecting with Movilla's cross to shoot wide of the keeper.

The Catalans came close to getting one back, with Portillo heading wide and Pinilla turning another header from the ex Real Madrid striker over the bar as it appeared to be going in. But Pique made sure of the points with a third goal, sweeping the ball past Pérez after good work by Sergio García out on the left wing. Nàstic have now gone ten league games without a win, and they stay in next to bottom spot.
