Osasuna finally got their campaign under way after beating Deportivo 4-1, by far their best result of the season. The Pamplona based side hadn't won a game for over two months, but Soldado opened the scoring in the fifth minute, running on to Milosevic's headed pass to shoot past Aouate. Riki hit the post at the other end, but Soldado brought a good save out of the visiting keeper midway through the first half, and from the resulting corner Valdo headed home the second.

Juan Rodríguez pulled one back on the half hour mark after Capdevila turned a long free kick across goal, and Barragán was foiled by Ricardo from levelling the scores. But Soldado restored the two goal cushion with a spectacular strike early in the second half, and with Depor down to ten men after substitute Cristian went off injured, Milosevic completed the scoreline with another shot from outside of the area in the last minute.
