Real Sociedad and Getafe drew 0-0 on Sunday evening, a result which kept the visitors in seventh place and left their hosts in next to bottom position without a single win in their first fourteen games. Despite the scoreline, keepers Bravo and Abbondanzieri both had some work to do, curiously both having to save before the break from visiting defender Alexis, who almost put through his own net following a free kick and then brought a low stop from Bravo with another header following a corner.

Casquero fired a shot over the top for Bernd Schuster's side after the restart, and Abbondanzieri saved a Jesuli header a few minutes later. But the best save of the night came later in the second half, Bravo palming away a looping header from Manu Del Moral which was heading for the top corner. Güiza lobbed another late chance over the top, but not long after it was all over, and Real had their fourth draw in a row. Not quite what they wanted, but at least they are picking up points.
