Mallorca and Celta shared the points in a 2-2 draw, the visitors coming from two down to equalise with a penalty near the end. Jonás Gutiérrez gave the Balearic islanders the lead early on, turning the ball past Pinto after Jankovic passed in from the left. And the Argentinian winger came close to scoring a second before Baiano and Jorge tested Prats for the first time shortly before half time.

Jankovic made it two for the locals though when he fired home a long shot after the restart, and the crowd, who had only seen their side win once at home this season, began the Mexican wave. But Celta had one of the best away records in the league, and Baiano got one back five minutes later, catching out Prats with a snap shot from outside of the area which squeezed through the hands of the keeper.

Fernando Vázquez threw everything forward after that, bringing on Jesús Perera for Iriney, and Oubiña went close a couple of times, including once when he felt he should have had a penalty. And with five minutes to go Clos Gómez did point at the spot after Baiano fell under a challenge from Ballesteros, and Perera converted the kick at the second attempt after the referee ordered a retake for encroachment of the visiting players.

Baiano and Jonás Gutiérrez both had chances in the final minutes, and the locals ended with ten men after Gutiérrez was sent off, presumably for insulting an official. A point apiece, which left both sides safely in mid-table.
