1-1. 50. Alvaro. Ran in from edge of area to head Robert corner wide of keeper.

Levante and Celta shared the points in a 1-1 draw, a result which kept the visitors in the top half of the table and left their hosts just two places above the drop zone. With less than a minute on the clock Baiano picked up the ball in midfield and ran on to curl a spectacular shot past Molina, his fifth goal in as many matches.

From then on though they sat back to defend, limiting their opponents to a possible penalty for hands by Angel, and a shot by Courtois. But five minutes in to the second half the locals equalised, Alvaro getting above the defence to head home a corner by Laurent Robert, who had been brought on at half time.

Levante should have won it after that, Tommasi going close and Ettien having three shots blocked in a row by Pinto, Placente and Angel, who headed the last effort off the line. Alvaro headed wide and Ettien and Riga both went close late on, but Celta held on to keep up their impressive away record.
