0-1. 30. Urzaiz. Got above defence to head Yeste corner into top of net.
0-2. 53. Urzaiz. Glancing header on past Prats from long Yeste free kick.
1-2. 82. Expósito (own goal). Looping header past own keeper trying to clear.
1-3. 84. Exteberría. Nipped in between Ramis and keeper to run ball into net.

Urzaiz scored twice either side of half time as Athletic Bilbao won 1-3 at Mallorca, a result which takes the Basque side a point above their opponents in the table. The Balearic Islanders had only won once at home all season, and Prats had to be at his best to keep out a Yeste free kick early on. Varela replied with a long shot which brushed the post, and the locals had a penalty appeal turned down for a possible foul on Ibagaza. But Urzaiz, in his 400th game for the club, got on the end of Yeste's corner to head his side into the lead, and although Ramis and víctor went close at the other end soon afterwards, the visitors went in ahead at the break.

And soon after the restart Urzaiz was in action again, heading a long Yeste free kick past Prats for his 135th league goal. Arango got one back eight minutes from the end with a looping header which came off Expósito and went in off the bar, but just two minutes later Ramis tried to head back to Prats, and Etxeberría nipped in to poke the ball past the keeper and run it in to the net. As the game came to a close the home fans booed their players off the field, their side now only one point above the drop zone.
