Zaragoza stay in sixth spot after a 1-1 draw with Deportivo on Sunday night. The Galicians went ahead in the twentieth minute when Taborda headed Arizmendi's cross past César, and Aouate and his defence kept out efforts from Lafita, Sergio García and Diego Milito before the break.

Víctor Fernández made two changes at half time, but the visiting keeper was on top form, saving an Aimar free kick and a header from Oscar González. However with ten minutes to go a shot from D'Alessandro came back off the post, and Taborda was forced to trip Diego Milito to stop him from turning the ball in to the net. The striker was shown the red card, and Diego slotted home the resulting penalty.

The locals could have taken the three points when Oscar fired a shot against the post in the dying minutes, but Depor held on for a valuable point.
